What to Expect
Week 1 · Induction
A gentle one-week start at 40 units (about 2.1mg) once daily. This lower induction dose lets your body acclimate before stepping up. ARA-290 works by activating the Innate Repair Receptor with each daily dose, so establishing a consistent once-daily rhythm from day one is the foundation of the whole program.
Weeks 2 – 6 · Maintenance
Step up to the daily maintenance dose of 75 units (4mg). Because the Innate Repair Receptor is upregulated at sites of inflammation and injury, this is where the repair-supporting and anti-inflammatory signaling builds. Daily consistency and site rotation between the abdomen and thigh matter more than the exact hour of dosing.
Weeks 7 – 12 · Full Course
The full program runs 12 weeks of daily dosing. ARA-290 has a short subcutaneous half-life, so the protocol relies on daily administration rather than long-acting depots. Completing the full course as directed by your provider is what allows the cumulative repair and anti-inflammatory signaling to develop.

ARA-290 Pen Injector
ARA-290, also known as cibinetide, is a small 11-amino-acid peptide given as a subcutaneous injection. It is a modified, non-blood-building fragment of the body's natural EPO signal.
This is the key distinction. Standard EPO is erythropoietic, meaning it stimulates red blood cell production, which is why it raises hematocrit and can affect blood pressure. ARA-290 is derived from a different region of the EPO molecule that engages only the Innate Repair Receptor.
That means it targets the tissue-protective and repair signaling associated with EPO without the blood-building effect. It is not expected to raise your red blood cell count or blood pressure. That separation of effects is the entire reason a modified peptide like ARA-290 exists.
The program is built in two steps. Week 1 is an induction phase at 40 units (about 2.1mg) once daily, which lets your body acclimate to daily dosing before stepping up. From week 2 through week 12 you move to the maintenance dose of 75 units (4mg) once daily.
This titrated start is a standard way to ease into a daily peptide protocol and is one of the habits that keeps side effects mild. Your pen counts the units for you, so you simply dial to the number for the week you are in.
Yes. ARA-290 pen injector contains no toxic fillers or preservatives. Each batch is prepared in a 503A licensed compounding pharmacy under the supervision of Dr. Sasson Moulavi, MD — physician-formulated for consistent purity and potency, and third-party tested with a COA available upon request.
Inject once daily at about the same time each day. Week 1: dial to 40 units (about 2.1mg). Weeks 2 through 12: dial to 75 units (4mg). Inject subcutaneously into the abdomen, at least 2 inches from the navel, or the front of the thigh, rotating your spot each day so the same skin does not get sore.
After pressing the button and the dial returns to zero, count to 10 before removing the needle to ensure the full dose is delivered. Always prime the pen when loading a new cartridge. Full step by step instructions are in the Administration Protocol panel.
Yes, every time you load a new cartridge into the reusable pen it must be primed once before the first dose. With the needle attached and uncovered, turn the dial 5 to 10 clicks until the plunger moves close to the bottom stopper, then dial and press 1 to 2 clicks until a drop of fluid appears at the needle tip.
Some cartridges, especially those with less than 3mL remaining, may need several rounds of 20 to 30 clicks to get the plunger moving. Once primed, no further priming is needed until the next new cartridge is loaded.
ARA-290 is generally well tolerated. Because it activates a repair receptor and does not build red blood cells, it has been well tolerated in studies. When side effects occur they are usually mild and settle on their own: mild redness, itching, or soreness at the injection site, which rotating your spot each day helps reduce, and occasionally a headache or a temporary feeling of warmth or flushing.
Unlike blood-building EPO, ARA-290 is not expected to raise red blood cell count or blood pressure. Tell your provider about any new or persistent symptoms.

What It Does
ARA-290 (cibinetide) is a modified fragment of the body's natural EPO signal, engineered to activate a single target: the Innate Repair Receptor. It captures the tissue-protective side of EPO signaling without the blood-building effect.
The Innate Repair Receptor is a target the body naturally upregulates at sites of injury and inflammation. ARA-290 is designed specifically to engage it, working with a repair system the body already deploys rather than against it.
Unlike blood-building EPO, ARA-290 is derived from a different region of the molecule and is not expected to raise red blood cell count or blood pressure. It separates the tissue-protective signaling of EPO from its erythropoietic effect.
ARA-290 engages the pathways involved in tissue and nerve recovery. The repair receptor it activates is central to how the body resolves injury and supports the health of nerve tissue over a sustained daily program.
The Innate Repair Receptor is part of the body's own inflammation-resolving machinery. By switching it on where the body has already turned it up, ARA-290 supports the natural resolution of inflammation rather than broadly suppressing it.
At just 11 amino acids, ARA-290 is a compact, precisely targeted signal. Its short subcutaneous half-life is exactly why the protocol is once daily — the design favors a consistent daily pulse over a long-acting depot.
A gentle one-week induction at 40 units eases you in, then a daily maintenance dose of 75 units carries the rest of the 12 weeks. The pen counts the units for you, so each day you simply dial to the number for your week.

The Science
A modified piece of the body's own EPO signal, aimed at one target: the repair receptor the body turns up where it is hurt. Four steps.
Given once daily under the skin. Week 1 is a 40-unit induction; weeks 2 to 12 run at 75 units. ARA-290 has a short half-life, so a consistent daily pulse is the design, not a long-acting depot.
Once in circulation, ARA-290 binds the Innate Repair Receptor — a target the body upregulates specifically at sites of injury and inflammation. It acts where the body has already flagged a need for repair.
Activating that receptor engages the body's own tissue-protective and inflammation-resolving pathways, supporting nerve and tissue recovery — the beneficial side of EPO signaling, without building red blood cells.
Because ARA-290 comes from a different region of the EPO molecule, it is non-erythropoietic — not expected to raise red blood cell count or blood pressure. That separation of effects is the whole reason the peptide exists.
ARA-290 has been studied in daily subcutaneous dosing, including a Phase 2b trial where a 4mg daily dose engaged the Innate Repair Receptor. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. Prescription only.

"Every product we offer is something I would prescribe to my own patients. Our formulations are designed for clinical outcomes — not marketing claims."
How We Operate
Built by a Physician, Not a Marketing Team
Lavi MD was founded under physician supervision. Every formulation, every dose, every protocol is reviewed by Dr. Moulavi before it reaches a patient — not outsourced to a contract manufacturer with no clinical input.
We Limit Shipping Days to Protect Your Product
We only ship Monday and Tuesday. That's a deliberate decision — it ensures your order arrives before the weekend and never sits in a carrier facility over two days without refrigeration. Most brands don't think that far ahead.
We Treat You Like a Patient, Not an Order Number
Our team includes clinical staff who understand what you're taking and why. If something goes wrong with your order — a warm shipment, a missing component, a question about your protocol — we fix it. No automated runaround.

The American Peptide Association is the leading industry body advancing the science, safety, and standards of peptide research. Our membership reflects our unwavering commitment to purity, transparency, and responsible sourcing — giving you full confidence in every product you purchase.
