Filtraphorix™ Technology
Last updated: June 2026
What Is Filtraphorix™?
Filtraphorix™ is Lavi MD's proprietary nasal delivery technology, designed to support the absorption of peptide compounds. Developed alongside compounding pharmacists and informed by peptide research, Filtraphorix™ delivers bioactive compounds across the nasal lining rather than through the digestive tract.
How It Works
Many peptides are fragile molecules. Taken by mouth, they meet stomach acid and digestive enzymes that break much of the active compound down before it reaches the bloodstream, which is why oral bioavailability for many peptides tends to be limited.
Filtraphorix™ takes a different route. The spray is absorbed across the nasal mucosa, a thin tissue rich in blood vessels, which avoids the first pass through the gut and liver that breaks down oral compounds. This is the same reasoning behind many nasal medications already in everyday use.
Key Advantages
- Bypasses first-pass metabolism. Delivered through the nasal lining instead of the digestive system, so the compound is not broken down in the gut before reaching circulation.
- A highly vascular route. The nasal mucosa is rich in blood vessels, which supports absorption of bioactive compounds.
- Needle free. A simple, at-home alternative to injections for our nasal formulas.
- Clean, sterile base. Each Filtraphorix™ spray is prepared in a sterile saline base with no preservatives, fillers, or artificial additives.
- Studied for nose-to-brain pathways. For certain neuropeptides such as Semax, Selank, and DSIP, researchers study the nasal route for its potential to support access to the central nervous system. This is an active area of study.
Products Using Filtraphorix™
Filtraphorix™ is used across our nasal spray line, including:
- Semax + Selank Nasal Spray
- Semax Nasal Spray
- DSIP Nasal Spray
- NAD+ Nasal Spray
Adjust this list to match your live nasal products. Injectable products use our pen delivery system rather than Filtraphorix™, so they are listed separately on their own pages.
Quality Standards
Filtraphorix™ formulas are prepared in a licensed 503A compounding pharmacy in Florida. Every batch is independently tested by a third-party lab for purity, potency, and sterility, and a Certificate of Analysis (COA) is available on request.
